After taking some time to explore the area before the first encounter, I found a hidden room with a collectible. Looks like a calcified/final-shape-afied apple like the child dropped from the intro cutscene to final shape. It’s before the first encounter, around in the area a cyclops spawns. Its entrance is in a gap near a light decoration close to a large hourglass symbol/mural.
