I have become unable to play Destiny 2 after the latest update. The game consistently crashes after the Title screen. Please see below for full report and details. Any help with resolving the issue would be highly appreciated.

Issue:
Game crashes directly after the Title Screen, when trying to get into the game.
Repro steps:
1. Launch Destiny 2 from Steam Library.
2. Press Enter/Return on the game's Title Screen to enter the game.
Actual result:
* Sign-in and content verification when entering the game seem to still complete successfully after the Title Screen.
* The game switches to a transition screen with black background and white animated logo.
* During logo animation the game freezes for a couple of seconds, after which it crashes and the application closes without any further feedback.
Expected result:
Game does not crash and is playable.

Notes:
* Playing Destiny 2 still worked fine on 3 June, right before installing 8.0.0.1 and The Final Shape update.
* Already tried many things: Updating drivers, clearing shader cache, reinstalling the game, reinstalling BattlEye. Result has not changed.
* Crash happens consistently (100% of the time) when following the steps described above.
* While making a screen-capture of the issue, the game did not crash (as in closing the application), but just fully locked up the system. So even though the game still freezes at the exact same time, the crash is not visible in the linked video.
* Crash logs and system dumps available on request.

I decided to completely format my machine and re-install windows over the weekend, as it's been years since I last did that. Most likely not an approach for a 'solution' many people would want to take, but nonetheless, it did make Destiny playable again for me after reinstalling. So unfortunately it probably won't lead to any helpful insights for others reading this topic who have similar problems, but I would say the issue for my case can be considered closed.

Hello, Thanks for reaching out! We recommend that you try to update your drivers directly from the video card manufacturer’s website if you can. If there are no new drivers available on the website, please let us know.
