For those unaware, BattlEye has recently announced that they are added support for Steam's Proton Linux compatibility layer. This allows Linux users to play some Windows games on Linux. At the moment, playing Destiny 2 is not possible as the anti-cheat gets flagged.
This new added support for Proton is on an op-in basis, and as far as I'm aware, it is simple to opt-in.

+1, I just found out theres no Linux support, Bungie, please, this is absurd. In current times, Linux is getting more and more popular, slowly overthrowing Windows (no offense to those who play on Windows, just a simple observation), bringing forth a growing Linux gaming community. Stop cutting us off from good games, its really not that hard to allow us in. Dont decide to do it when it may be too late for your game, because it would truly be a shame to let Destiny 2 die out.
