The new Warlock Exotic: The speakers sight

The Speaker's Sight With the Exotic Perk "The Lost Voice": A Missed Opportunity for Warlocks The exotic perk "The Lost Voice" states that Healing grenades spawn a Restorative Turret, and healing allies occasionally spawns an Orb of Power. This design choice seems to indicate that the Bungie team is reluctant to allow Warlocks to move beyond the support role, even for "The Final Shape," the last major DLC of the game. Aesthetics vs. Practicality While the helmet boasts arguably the best design for a Warlock helmet in Destiny 2, its abilities offer little incentive to switch from the more offensive exotics like Necrotic Grips or Sunbracers (even post-nerf) in any given scenario. Comparison with Other New Exotics The other new exotics provide offensive and tactical abilities that benefit both PvP and PvE, offering much more versatility across various activities. The already powerful titan gets an all new rocket ability, while Warlocks get recycled concepts. Unfortunately, the Speaker’s Helm does not offer the same level of versatility and is a disappointment. Limited Utility Rehashing a failed ability from what is likely the least-used exotic in Destiny 2 history, Edge of Intent, feels very lazy and rushed. Additionally, requiring players to replace more versatile grenades like Grapple, Vortex, Solar, or Storm grenades with the Healing grenade to make this mask effective is a significant loss in all realms of play. Existing Support Options Warlocks already have numerous exotic options for supporting teammates through Rifts and other healing abilities, including: The Stag Vesper of Radius Sanguine Alchemy Phoenix Protocol Lunafaction Boots Promethium Spur Boots of the Assembler Edge of Intent Lumina Given these options, it’s unclear why there is a perceived need for another niche, subpar healing exotic, especially one that is likely to join the ranks of the least-used exotics in the game, and will ultimately occupy vault space. Suggestions for Improvement To make the Speaker’s Helm a more viable and exciting option, consider the following adjustments Enhance Offensive Capabilities: Incorporate an offensive component to the turret, allowing it to activate at the expense of a general melee charge. Improve Synergy with Other Abilities: Allow the turret to work with a broader range of grenade types or enhance other Warlock abilities. Or better yet, rework it into: Travelers Dream: Aerial support Ability: Activating this ability suspends the Warlock in mid-air, anchoring them in place with strong damage resistance. While anchored, the Warlock transforms into a healing and ability regeneration turret, emitting pulses of healing energy and granting increased ability regeneration to nearby allies. Additionally, enemies within range of the Warlock suffer reduced damage output. Visual Effect: The Warlock is surrounded by a sphere of shimmering light while suspended in mid-air, with pulses of healing energy emanating from their position. Allies within range are bathed in a healing glow, while enemies are marked with a debuff effect indicating their decreased damage. Or Traveler's Scream: Aerial Crowd Control Ability: Activating this ability causes the Warlock to channel dark energy, creating a vortex of shadows beneath them. Enemies caught in the vortex are pulled towards the Warlock and suffer continuous void damage. Additionally, the Warlock gains increased Melee damage while the vortex is active. Visual Effect: A swirling vortex of darkness forms beneath the Warlock, with tendrils reaching out to ensnare nearby enemies.

 • I like the function listed for the exotic. Most solar builds for other classes use healing grenades, so I don’t see a big loss in slotting healing as your grenade. Then it just buffs it to be a lot better. Supports are fun. I’m just glad it’s not a PvP exotic.
