I've got the season pass after returning to D2 and I can't even access 3 of the battle passes that I paid for. Kinda ridiculous. This needs to be changed.
-
No I don’t want my game hogging up an absurd amount of space because players never played the content from 4 years ago. It was seasonal.
-
Welcome to F.O.M.O by courtesy of Bungie.
-
They need to adopt the system Halo Infinite has. While it is not perfect, being able to do passes from previous events and seasons is huge
-
Agreed. Allow working on it retroactively. Maybe if you reach level 100 on the current battle pass, then the rest of the XP/levels goes to the previous battlepass. Adds some balance to it, I guess.
-
I understand the purpose of FOMO but I do not agree with using it as leverage. I 100% for bringing back the old seasonal loot.
-
I've got the season pass after returning to D2 and I can't even access 3 of the battle passes that I paid for. Kinda ridiculous. -
why should bungie do that when no game has done that. I dont finish all my battlepasses, but thats on me for buying them and not completing them.
-
Yes I missed a lot of armor ornaments like undying-haunted and also season of the witch(that one was because I was so burnt out)and helldivers 2 and halo infinite let you buy previous season passes,
-
-
Unfortunately, this will never happen. FOMO generates undying engagement and feeds on addiction. This is how devs get away with making terrible games. The game is terrible with the promise of being good, and you need to get your "I was there" trophy. That way, you have something to show off to other players, maybe incentivizing them to get addicted and earn the limited run rewards, thus repeating the cycle of greed and manipulation. Pathetic.
-
Helldivers lets you play all past passes lol

Edited by KIngJS922: 5/21/2024 1:00:24 AMAbsolutely. And to people saying this isn't a thing, yes it is. Timer or no timer. Quite a few games do it and even if they didn't so? Y'all really let bungies fake rules and policy overshadow right and wrong? No wonder they have always waited til the forums and backlash set on fire to do something right for once
-
Helldivers 2 does it how it should be done
-
Stop getting annual passes. Even for games you play all the time, $100 up front for an uncertain future is financial recklessness. Stop doing that.
-
I have the Wich Queen expansion and couldn't do any related seasonal activity until they gave it for free for the rest of the player base. BUNGO business model is something else...
-
I would appreciate being able to go back and earn the Russian themed armor and the Tommy’s /Erianna’s Ornaments.
-
No game ever has done this. It's a dumb thing to ask for.
-
Would be nice, but realistically you don't own anything anyway, so what's the big deal. They (Bungo) could decide to shut up shop tomorrow and you'd lose EVERYTHING think about that.
-
Maybe just play the season you buy next time 🤷🏻♂️
-
-
Don't worry, at some point Bungie might sell a bundle with the armor ornaments, emote, etc for like 30 bucks. With each armor set being separate of course meaning you gotta drop 90 if you want all three sets. Battle passes with time limits are limited time, you either complete them or you don't. Welcome to live service gaming my guy.
-
No, my virtual cape from Undying wont be special anymore!
-
Did you finish the previous seasons? If you have, you can claim the items you didn't collect from your battle pass.
-
I don't see why not, Bungie could also make more money by selling those older battle passes to new players or existing players. They have been selling the older season pass items at exorbitant prices but I doubt many people are actually buying those and with them being only available for 2 weeks I doubt they see much money as compared to if they just sold the entire pass outright for like $10.
-
They said way back when they wanted them to be timed so people would feel like they had to play each season with fomo (and creating that sense of “oh you had to be there”). They have to manufacture scarcity or else no one will feel the need to grind each season.
-
"I can't access 3 of the battle passes that I paid for" Yeah, because those are limited-time things. Only one pass is active at any given time and once it's over, it's gone forever. Did you seriously not know this when you paid for them? If you buy an annual pass, stop playing for the first 6 months of the time period you paid for, then come back for the 3rd pass, no duh you can't access the first 2, you didn't play during their uptime. The Destiny 2 Season Pass system is nothing new, so how is this your first time realizing they go away when their time runs out? Why would you pay for passes you aren't going to play?
