I made a post about this a few weeks back with about a 50/50 for and against my idea’s. I have read feed back and have come up with a new set of ideas to see what people may or may not like.
I think everyone has the right to voice what they feel is good and bad for the game. Let’s try keep it to the games PVP and not about what people think others do and do not like about one another.
(Keep this post’s comments civil)
My opinion on radar is that it’s reach is too far and really acts as a lesser version of wall hacks currently. I don’t think the current radar system works with all the new changes made to PVP this year. (IMO)
I think that a players radar on screen should only cover a 270 degree view. This is so it’s not always watching your back for you. This is instead of the current 360 degree view it has currently. (Like the Halo radar)
I think the radars range currently is a touch far on some maps. I think radar should be brought in by at least 25%.
I think radar shouldn’t tell you about players spawning in as we do have spawn animations and can be killed before you can react. This would be just while the player is spawning in.
I think these changes cater to the players who did and did not like my previous ideas. Let me know what you think.
Please again keep it civil so we as a community to this game can make changes we all like and can agree on. This is regardless if you like the game or not or how you feel about any person/s associated with the game currently.
Any post with any toxicity I find will be hidden.

Id say 360 degrees, no indication if elevation and a 25 to 33% reduction in range.

Edited by A_mo: 5/17/2024 1:00:00 PMI am absolutely down for trying any radar change that anyone would like to see. I guess its only fair to admit that I think it wouldn't go very well at all. But there's only one way to find out and that's to put the entire Destiny community in lobbies with whatever the radar changes are. Surprise deaths in Destiny hit particularly hard and there's a lot of people that really can't handle the dying part in PvP. So just that alone starts the manipulation that just ties itself into a tighter and tighter knot over time. It almost doesn't even matter what the changes are when its catering to the same thing.

You don’t need the radar to know where people are spawning

Edited by eeriearcade: 5/17/2024 10:43:07 AMOne thing I like about radars is that they give you confidence with movement. Without them, people can just hide behind things, wait for you to run past and shoot you in the back. As long as they still perform that function, I don’t really mind what they do with them.
