Triton Vice detonation doesn't interact with anything in the entire game (and other problems)
Not really sure if this is a bug or an oversight, so I'm posting this here in Feedback.
1. The matching elemental detonation from Triton Vice has no synergy with anything in the game.
It DOES:
- Count as elemental damage (it pops corresponding shields)
It DOESN'T:
- Generate siphon orbs
- Proc Reaper
- Proc any weapon perks
- Proc any aspects/fragments/passives (e.g. Gunpowder Gamble, Ember of Tempering, Amplified)
- Increase damage in any way (e.g. Surges, Radiant, even Unstable Essence[!])
It seems to be a completely dissociated damage type. This severely hinders build crafting potential and makes glaives feel bad to use with Triton Vice.
Additionally, the detonation timing is inconsistent, with Arc being substantially sooner. The solar detonation vfx are also much more subdued compared to Arc and Void.
2. Halberdier's Reach is a worse Biotic Enhancements and is counterintuitive.
They have identical damage increases, but Halberdier's Reach goes away instantly whereas Biotic Enhancements lingers for 8 seconds. The reload speed increase also doesn't make sense since, if you're surrounded, a couple of (damage-boosted) melee kills will reload your glaive for you.
Triton Vice needs some serious help or a rework. Maybe we'll get lucky with the blog on the 22nd.
