You ever notice how Star Wars can’t make up its mind on what it wants to be?
On one hand you have Andor, which is a Science Fiction story about the struggles of living in the galaxy and rebelling against a dictator. It focuses a lot on the actual technology and stuff.
Then you have Ahsoka, where they use the force to find a hidden planet that a long lost general lives on with the assistance of a witch and 3 immortal elder witches.
They really need to decide if they want to be space magic or sci-fi. Or at least put both in the show.

Star Wars Multiverse, in universe 626...
-
Never again will it be clear or coherent, now that the writing team at Disney has their fingers in it.
-
That's because Disney has no leadership or idea of what to do. Andor absolutely shocked me in its intelligent writing and I did not expect just how good it ended up being. It was brilliant in my opinion and I wish the rest of Disney Star wars could be on that same level of maturity. But everything else I personally think is utter nonsense and garbage. I do not enjoy what Disney has done with Star Wars, not in its current direction or how they keep finding ways to ruin previous established films and eras of Star Wars. To me it seems Disney has no true appreciation for Star Wars and what made it so great.

Edited by Cultmeister: 5/16/2024 10:13:19 AMAt this point Star Wars isn’t one story or even bunch of stories, it’s a universe, where many different things happen and the writer can tell whatever tale they want in whatever section of that universe they want. Compare it to something like Doctor Who. One week you’re drilling into the earth and turning people into furry werewolves, the next some kid’s bedroom drawing comes to life and kills people, the next you’re in a WW2 allegory arguing over the ethics of genocide. Three very different stories, but the DW universe is big enough to allow them all to happen.

Edited by DarthWolfric: 5/15/2024 9:31:55 AMIt’s awesome (in my opinion)! Two different stories set thousands of light years apart, one about a grounded normal guy and one about galactic elite and Force wielders—all tied together by the unity of being in one franchise of various themes. Keeps things fresh.
They really need to decide if they want to be space magic or sci-fi.
Star Wars has always been both. If a story line focuses on the normal, non Force sensitives, that's fine. If a story line focuses on the Force wielding, that's fine too. If a story incorporates both, then it's a movie.

It's actually both and can be because not only are there different time periods with different events taking place which some of the movies/series focus more on but there's also the fact that not everyone is a Force wielder.
