I recently changed internet service providers to xfinity I used to have spectrum. Since I have set up the gateway I have had constant error codes to the point where I can't even play the game for more than five minutes. I am getting constant weasel or a variety of other codes all relating to networking. I have talked to xfinity customer support. They could not help me.They did not know what I was talking about. They could not even see the information of incoming or outgoing traffic. I made sure the firewall I have set up was not blocking destiny two servers. I even tried to start port forwarding that didn't do anything. I don't even know If it even opened up the ports, I tried to open. Do I need to set up a dmz and buy a new gateway? I've made sure Upnp was enabled Yet nothing seems to work. Do I have to go through the lengths of running wire shark to see where packets are dropping, Or for some reason peer to peer connections are blocked? I used xfinity a while ago and it worked fine. But for some reason now I am having issues with it. It is a different gateway, And I'm not at the same location where I was using it prior. Does anybody have any advice on this or a fix that works 100% of the time? Cause I'd really like to play the new content before it disappears. This happens when I try to join a fire team Or launch any activity. I can't even sit in the tower for more than 5 minutes before. I get disconnected, sometimes the game just completely crashes.

I used to have Xfinity. I had the same issue and I have a solution. Since you are using a Gateway, which is notorious for having connection issues with Destiny 2, you will need to put the gateway in Bridge Mode. Note that a separate router is required for this setup as Bridge Mode will disable all wifi and router capabilities of your gateway and turn it into a plain old modem.
