Heal Clip not rolling with certain other perks
So I've been farming for a decent roll on lunas howl, which I've gotten several, but none have dropped with heal clip and incandescent. I'm curious is there a lower percentage of these two rolling together? I couldn't get midnight coup to roll firefly one for all either and farmed at least a 100. Is there some secret low percentage modifier in place?

Every activity specific normal version of a weapon should have a time/effort investment that eventually earns you what you want from it. Oh wait, that exists but is not fully utilized. It’s called crafting. The perfect protection system that is still RNG but that prevents a pursuit from going on indefinitely without any way to increase your odds. Heal clip/incandescent has to be an intentionally extra rare combo.

1 ReplyIt's all rigged, in my opinion! Bungie gave us a product, and as usual, some of us, including myself, got sucked in. Now, it is somewhat becoming apparent that to get the best versions of the guns, you have to put days of game play into the game.

Gotta have useless "rare" pixels to oooh and ahhh at.

It took me literally over 100 Luna Howls to drop before I got a Heal Clip + Incandescent roll and the range is -blam!-. Blast Furness, I may as well not be attuned to it because it is NOT dropping. I’m getting everything but it.

Just got one with heal clip and incandescent. Encore and precision the other two perks.

The shiny one dropped before I cashed in the weapon quest. Literally the very first drop and was during a round and bit from a chest. It’s brilliant and the best feeling HC I’ve ever used PVE. It’s replaced my Summoner heal clip/incandescent in that load out and the Summoner was awesome It’s worth farming for sure. It’s smooth like butter. Hope it drops for you bro.

3 RepliesI got this combo 1 time, and I farmed almost 50 Lunas. BTW did anyone got Recluse with Repulsor + Destabilizing Rounds. It's the only roll I really want, but RNG is trollin me...

I got a Heal Clip/Incandescent on my 10th Luna Drop but looking for one with this but a better mag option and I havent seen another HC/Incad since. 30+ drops later, not one with those perk(chest openings included)

Same problem well over 100 drops farming nothing , then suddenly every drop had either heal clip or incandescent . All this happened after the most recent reset makes me think bungie reworked the drop on those perks.

HC + Incandescent, in my experience, is extremely rare. Over 700 tokens + 40 x 50 waves, I've dropped just two.

Prolonged bad RNG being allowed to happen is the biggest killer of hype for me. After the hundreds of times I ran Gahlran last time Duality was the rotator, the last thing I need right now is for this to go on. This roll on Luna was one of the main 3 things I wanted from I to the Light. Every RNG drop should always have a threshold where when a player puts an amount of time and effort in that eventually earns them what they want from said activity. Unless it’s challenge specific, like beating thee hardest version of something for an adept for example. Barring that, there should be an amount of time and effort that provides the desired reward. This is also what’s wrong with dungeons and why I won’t buy them anymore. Several hundred attempts is well beyond that threshold and is not reasonable in any gaming scenario, anywhere. Pure RNG should never be left unchecked so that can happen. If a reward system exists in a game that allows for that, it’s a bad system, if not intentionally trollish.

Funny thing is, I wasn’t even grinding for it and it actually was a drop from some random stuff within onslaught. Like one of those drops you get by completing bonus stuff.

I've had Lunas attuned for a long time. A long long time. More than a week. Not a single Heal Clip/Incand. roll. Not a single one. I have a good memory. I know I didn't see a single one. Over 150-200 Lunas I've seen drop and gotten from the chest near Shaxx. Not a single one. Not that I care alot personally about Inc. Heal clip. I wanted a Heal Clip Magn. Howl roll. Which I haven't seen a single one either of. I did see a player in my fireteam, in a recent Normal Midtown Onslaught. He had heal clip Incandescent. So they do exist.

I’ve been experiencing this personally. I was grinding for a heal clip / incandescent roll for over a week. Got about 200+ drops and never seen those two traits together.

1 ReplyI’ve been lucky only with the chest using the coins. Out of the chest I’ve gotten hung jury firefly+tremors, blast furnace firefly+tremors, and luna heal+incandescent exactly once. Never gotten these rolls from actually doing onslaught. 99% of the rolls I got from Onslaught were garbage. Definitely feels like those perk rolls are 1 out of 1000. Who knows what kind of randomization Bungie is doing to make these rolls so hard to get. At least that’s my experience.
