Dungeon key versus DLC explanation
I just want to make sure I understand something. I was considering returning last year and I did for a bit and just got really confused with how the game was at that time.
I just want to make sure I understand when you buy a DLC like the witch Queen or the expansion lightfall; you don't necessarily get dungeon keys to go with them? Dungeon keys act the same as season passes. Is that correct?
I'm sorry I'm just an old soul. I know tuxy tried explaining it to me, the best he could in the past and I'm just not sure I understand.
If someone can confirm: dungeon keys are completely separate from DLCs and expansions. They have nothing to do with one another?
Annual passes and season passes may come with dungeon keys as part of their offerings?

They're separate content that may tie into the story for that season they launch in but generally they're just something extra If you buy the annual pass version of Lightfall then the dungeon key comes with it. Once TFS launches then Bungie will delist the annual pass edition of Lightfall and Eververse becomes the only way to obtain Lightfalls dungeon key The Witch Queen dungeon key is purchased via Eververse since the deluxe edition of Witch Queen is no longer sold as the expansion year for it is over. The same will remain true for The Final Shape in which standard wont give the dungeon key but the Annual Pass edition will. You will also be able to buy the dungeon key standalone once TFS or its first dungeon launches

Dungeon keys are separate from standard version of expansions, DLC, and seasons. Dungeon keys come with annual passes. But those keys are exclusively for the dungeons that game out during that year's expansion. So LF annual pass will not include WQ dungeons and FS will not include WQ and LF dungeons. To make your you get everything get the dulxe edition of the newest expansion and buy the older dungeon keys separately from eververse.

They separated dungeons from DLC purchase so you "have more options on what you want to buy" but the price doesn't go down, basically trying to gouge more money from you A la carte purchase my foot
