PvP Mains: Blast Furnace, Perk Question?

I do travel into the PvP section at times, though not so much in recent times which is why I'm inquiring from those with current experience. So I got a Head Seeker/Rapid Hit and Head Seeker/Kill Clip roll on the Blast furnace. Also a few Zen Moment/Kill Clip rolls. Question is which would be better for PvP?

  • For me headseeker kill clip is the reason to use blast furnace. It’s the best of both worlds for consistency and kill chaining. In my opinion,’belasarius is the better consistency / duelling weapon with headseeker eye of the storm. If you want to use your blast furnace like that then your rapid hit one would be fine.

  • I’ve found that since deterministic recoil came in the first two columns and the masterwork are more important than the last two (disclaimer: on controller old gen console) Elsie’s rifle feels like garbage unless I have chambered comp, ricochet rounds and a stability masterwork. Getting 85 recoil and at least (85 preferably) stability are all that matters really, only that combination of perks works. Those numbers make it feel great , anything else is an auto delete, just feels off no matter the last two perks. They do not matter if the gun doesn’t hit. My og blast furnace with feeding frenzy/kill clip (22 zoom sight, non-deterministic 75 recoil, 86 range, 92 stability) feels far better than any of the new rolls I have gotten. Thank god I held onto it through sunsetting.

  • Not a pvp main by any means, but blast furnace was my favourite back before it was sunset ( still have my QuickDraw / rampage max stability roll, and the curated roll) My current reissued blast furnace , headseaker rapid hit, feels so consistent it’s crazy. Doesn’t matter at range or mid I find it’s sticky and after the first burst rapid hit makes it so that it doesn’t even recoil. So I advocate for headseaker / rapid hit 👍

Suggestion: try them all…give each a good run…then use the one that feels best to you, whatever roll it might be! 👈 Horses for courses… Ease springs! 🫡 Extra edit: once done and you’ve found your preferred role, store the other rolls you mentioned for later, ie, don’t burn them. 👈👈 If you get to like doing more PvP, those rolls will come into their own, for sure! 👌

    • Whichever one between the zen moment and rapid hit ones that has the most handling.

I’m farming hard for -5/5-Headseeker/Killclip roll. I have it but not the 5/5. Anything with either of those perks will be good though. Also a Zen/Rampage roll according to TV. I have every imaginable roll now but hunting my last 5/5.

    • God rolls depend on personal preference. For example, a lot of people prefer zen moment on the summoner, but I found dynamic sway reduction to be way more effective.

    • imo > Head Seeker/Rapid Hit thats the dueler because those perks begin to help you immediately for any battle (you still have to actually hit the target).. and you don't think much about it.. you just play your game kill clip is mainly for 6's where you assume you'll get a kill... I'll reload (in cover).. then I'll go find somebody... oh what my 5 sec timer is gone?... I don't like to feel forced on that timer

      • Im liking the perpetual motion with kill clip role. Hits like a truck. High stab and high range.

      • One stability perk and one damage perk is usually the best mix for consistency. But you should fire all of these to see what suits you. Your copies should serve well. Look at your recoil directions. Deterministic recoil is odd. I've seen a lot of people advocate for 95......but i like the 65. I have a 65 with 86 range/86 stability + perpetual motion + kill clip. Works great. By comparison, I have a 67 Disparity with head seeker + rapid hit that's a laser. Rapid Hit proc's on your first burst. I dont have the Headseeker / rapid hit Blast. Zen + kill clip is always a great combo....cant go wrong. Kill clip - you have to reload to proc (no problem) where as head seeker is always working for you. Damage buff with kill clip (25%) is higher versus head seeker (8.3% I believe) as your trade off.

      • If you have high stability on headseeker/kill clip it is the best. Else, use zen moment/kill clip.
