then why did they craft previous weapons? They could have just made all the previous weaponry and armor available as RNG drops through every expansion. Because previous weapons “had their time to shine” , right out of the horses mouth. That to me is saying those weapons will be replaced with new weapons needing “their time to shine”. But now they are saying, “remember when we said …” Idc either way. I don’t play this game the way they want me to play(metas) I play with and keep whatever the hell I like and could give a rats -blam!- about the meta.

The meta is a result of balancing, but it’s not some over arching plot or goal to get players to do one specific thing. Do you think Bungie is twisting there curly mustache saying “Oh, we are so devious by making this the meta. We are the master manipulators”. Get down off your high horse and grow up.

No, they change the META so you use the different weapons and archetypes they have spent hours creating which is now basically determined through the Relic. It’s that simple. This started way back in Destiny with the first “pulse rifle” META. I’m trying to recall ever using any of these “Brave” weapons tbh. In fact, I think the only META weapons I’ve ever used were The Black Hammer, Jellyhorn & Div. Other than that, I’ve been able to join/do any encounter without “META LOAD-OUTS”.
