Until controller aim assist is reigned in suggesting there's skill in pvp is laughable. It's cheesing with the weapon thats automatically glued to heads most effectively and pretending it's you aiming.

However I don’t understand why there is this hatred towards controller players when, correct me if I’m wrong, you get just as good a benefits using M+K? End o day, we use what we use and whether you are controller or M+K - there is benefits to both sides. But PvP will never be taking seriously as a skilled game mode nor as a competitive game mode when people continue using the most cheesiest & easiest weapons for kills.

  • See this is why I don't like bungie allowing their bone headed controller devs to go on pod casts n say mnk has more aim assist without elaborating on it at all. Controller has 3 types of aim assist. I'm not going to use bungie dumb terms since they are literally designed to under value what controller aim assist does all in an effort to make controller players terrible at other games so they stay on d2. 1. CONTROLLER ONLY!! Reticle automatically chases targets for you. You guys complain when it doesn't cooperate with you and it goes after the wrong target. Yet none of you have a problem with it or can even admit it's basically an aim bot when it glues you to a targets head. Out of maybe 100 fights in 99 of them you get to laser the target down with the game doing 90% of the "aiming" for you. The one time someone runs by and yanks it off the target is what's discussed like it's some ridiculous problem after you were just gifted a free win VS the other 99 people. 2. CONTROLLER ONLY!! Input dampening/ignoring - once on a target if you aim in the wrong direction the game effectively dampens that input so it's very hard to aim off the target. This is why you guys say ohh it went after the wrong target n I couldn't aim back to the original. Basically once aim assist engages you are just along for the ride. When the target strafes you can continue to aim in the wrong direction with terrible reaction time and the game will ignore your inputs n the first part of aim assist I mentioned will continue to track the target automatically adjusting aim to match their movement. 3. Increased hitbox sizes compared to other games. This is the one both mnk n controller have. This is also the one mercules n Chris love to spout off is higher on mnk. Yet I've seen no proof of this and all the testing I've done with snipers n such very clearly shows the opposite. I've yet to see anyone prove this is a thing aside from dorks from podcasts that also play controller taking screenshots of reticle sizes n saying omggg look!! Yet actual behavior in game while shooting doesn't back this up and controller ends up with way more forgiveness. Then to top it all off this game is coded in such a poor way that aim assist's effectively is tied to frame rate. Game was designed to be ran on trash consoles at low fps. So when you play controller on a proper gaming pc you magically get more aim assist. This is why well over half the playerbase is on controller even on pc. It's why people use xim n such and completely mess up the typical mouse aiming in order to trigger controller aim assist. It's also why every tournament is won by controller players and why even mnk players switch to controller for this game n apex legends over playing with their preferred input device. Bungie designed this to be training wheels for controller players so when you try other games you do terribly and you come running back to d2 to talk about how crispy the gun play is when in reality it's not even you aiming these guns with controller. Then to compound it they only hire low skill controller players that perpetuate this nonsense with half truths and straight up lies.
