For example, assuming a player achieves the pinnacle cap (2000), if that player enters a Master activity at +10 power (Adjusted 2010), will that player be on parity with the combatants, or are we still going to be effectively -20 to these combatants?
Master difficulty will still be -20 delta. Nothing changes from current in the player deltas. The chart in the TWID displays power cap, which means you (the player) can enter below that, but it will be at a more difficult threshold.
Based on the information provided today, when you select an activity in the Final Shape, they will have the activity listed as follows when you select the activity :
- Expert (Previous Legend) Power Cap : 2005, Activity Power Level : 2020
- Master Power Cap 2010, Activity Power Level 2030
- Grandmaster Power Cap 2020, Activity Power Level 2045
Both of these numbers are currently in the game if you inspect the modifiers. It's just called "Maximum Effective Level" instead of what Bungie is updating it to "Activity Power Cap".

Appreciate the clarification. A bit unfortunate that this is sticking around, but I would rather be better informed now than finding out later that nothing is changing.

Edited by Spawn: 4/26/2024 12:33:12 AMThe only major change with this is both of these numbers will be more pronounced that they showed in the UI, where as now it’s hidden in one of the game modifiers when on an activity. It will also be nice with fireteam power scaling and leveling based on account progression and not just character progression alone. So “the climb” will be much faster. Though the cap for Grandmaster cap has a net increased to now +20 over the current +15. So we’ll see how XP progression will be tweaked values on the artifact from this.
