The ammo meter bar isn’t good either. It makes matches unbalanced and unfair. The old way where we just spawn in with our guns was just fine before the changes. Maybe try when a player dies, it only drop 1 ammo instead of 2? But I like the original way better.

  • Boxes are more unbalanced, since you have to use a special weapon even if you don't want to, is you die you are going to drop specials for an enemy and after respawn you aren't going to have your specials. Basically you don't have specials on demand, you have to use it right away or die and lose it

  • I’m not talking about boxes. I’m talking about before any changes were made this season. I rather just be ready with my weapons at the start of every matches without having to go to a point of map for special ammo and without worrying about meter bar.

    How does it make it unbalanced and unfair? People actually had to use their primary for once. Yes other people are better at getting kills. Yet that’s why they made it so you can also play objective as well. The meter brought back primary gunfights which a huge portion of the community wanted. It also showed who 100% crutched on special weapons for kills. It was also the most balanced PvP has been for a while. The thing they shouldn’t have done was increase how fast you can fill the meter up or how much special ammo you could get from it. I forgot what change they did to it. Once they did that to the meter that’s when it got a little ridiculous. Mainly because people could get 10+ special ammo very quickly. If they go back to how it was originally then it would be balanced.

    Because bullets sometimes don’t register or because some people network manipulate and cause ping or latency. Meter bar isn’t even balanced when mm is still a mess. Fix the lag/ latency and balance the lobby better then maybe the result may be ok. Original way before the changes give both sides of the teams some ammo and a fighting chance without snowballing to onesided.

  • Lag should not be part of the balancing discussion. That should be part of the network discussion and the cheating discussion. The bar works, the only issues you have with it seem to be completely reliant on outside factors. I personally think the bar should be in comp and trials (and maybe IB), but everything else gets the old scavenger system.

  • Never said I had a problem but if someone has more one shot ammo they have an advantage which is unbalanced

  • They get that one shot ammo through playing the game well. I wouldn't call it unbalanced for that reason, it requires proper play in order to get it. It's more a reward for playing the game well. Not so much unbalanced as it is a gap in skill.

  • Yeah, I would say it is. In the same way that better players get more kills, or get more super energy. Playing well is rewarded. Something is unbalanced when it is more powerful (or less powerful) than all the tools in your arsenal, making it so that you are at a disadvantage if you don't use it (or if you do use it in the event that it's too weak). Skill being rewarded is not a balancing factor, it is a necessity of a competitive game. You can't get rid of that without [i]removing[/i] balance from the game. Like how call of duty got caught altering damage values mid match so that worse players would kill better players more easily.

    Better players filling up the meter faster wouldn’t have been an issue if they didn’t increase how much special ammo you got from the meter. When it was first introduced with no changes to the meter it was great. That’s why they made it be able to be filled up from doing objective as well. So those players that aren’t as good can still be able to get special ammo. Also better players will get more special ammo no matter what system they use. I just don’t agree with the “better players” made it unbalanced argument. You can say that about literally every single game you play. Either way when they first introduce the meter people weren’t getting a lot of special ammo. It also made a bigger incentive on primary gunplay. It gets very old very quickly when all you die to is special weapons. All because some people aren’t good enough and need to crutch on them. If you played Trials the last 2 weekends you can clearly see that.
