like we get to round 10, someone leaves
get to round 20, somebody leaves
get to round 30 somebody leaves.
Why? there is more benefit to staying now than leaving, within those 3 runs I've gotten over 12 weapons in like 1hr vs someone who may be leaving after wave 10 each time and getting maybe a little over 6 in the same timeframe?

I will say, though, I've had luck where I've joined in progress Onslaught, and they are at like 45-49, even 50 at the boss and I get full rewards. So not all bad, someone's loss is my gain lmao.

Time. A full run is about a 45 minute comittment…and even on Normal you risk team wipes after wave 30. So it is easier to farm the early rounds than struggle with a weak team of randoms.

Brave gun quest complete and they are off….

I only left once, and by no means am I saying it’s similar to you, but it’s because I had no faith in my teammates. Second we got the loot on 10, I was out.
-
Maybe cus it’s boring and takes a while idk I went on a limb there lol but it’s pretty obvious. Not hating I think it’s the best seasonal event I’ve done but it’s still just killing ads on PvP maps.
-
There’s literally no benefit. Whatever yall get at wave 50, I can get at wave 10
-
Xp farm to max out shaxx most likely
-
They’re probably farming. Bungie’s effort vs incentive calculation isn’t exactly working. Resetting at legend lvl 10 = 2 weapons Which means less time, less hassle and less chance of failure for off-mic rando lfg groups. So why run to lvl 50 just for a few more weapons and an ascendant shard or two when you can buy the latter at Rahool?

It does seem to happen alot. I've completed through wave 50 to the end, but I play alot of the 10 round. Nobody leaves, I've been undecided what I want to do lately, and as much as I like this mode the 50 round can drag after awhile, and it isn't great this week specifically, with the horrible Fallen mine drops. I hate that modifier so much and wish it would just be removed. It sucks the enjoyment out of it, being constantly slowed through the entire activity; through any activity really.

Edited by Andy: 4/25/2024 4:57:44 AMBecause the reward increase was not enough to make it make sense to stay past 10. In the time it takes to do a legend 50 waves to get maybe 13 guns you can usually run legend 10 waves 6-7+ times for 12-14+. So you still get more loot and have a much easier time farming 10 waves than trying for the 50 at least on legend. Almost any half way decent group should manage 10 waves on legend without to much trouble but getting to 50, at least easily and consistently on legend, requires a fairly decent team with the right builds and weapons. Making a team on LFG that actually is aiming for 50 is always going to be the better option even on normal as that way you shouldn't have randoms dropping out. Plus of course 50 is bugged right now and can't be done because the portal doesn't spawn so that doesn't help.

People literally only playing to unlock the Brave Weapons because all they really want is that Superblack shader that will finally be available next week.
-
Because it's easy mode. Plenty would rather quit (ruin your run) and restart the easier tiers. Yes...even on normal non-Legendary.

Only 2 were from challenges (Can't edit my own post)
