For everyone saying "y'all" isn't a word, it's kind of proving OPs point that y'all don't know English, because according to the Oxford English Dictionary, "y'all" is a formally recognized word, and is the contraction of "you all", making it as valid as "can't" or "don't". Which, by the way, if any of you have said "Don't you dare" in your lives, you've officially said the most common grammatically incorrect thing: "Do not you dare"
English

Too many people here are obsessed with the rules of a language that shakespeare basically made up half of the phrases for because he couldn't figure out how to make his rhyme scheme work without inventing new words Like, the rules of a language don't matter beyond the way that the people speaking it choose to use it. Goodbye is an amalgamation of the phrase "god be with ye". The only rules of language that matter are the ones that the people actually use. This is why people make fun of the types who are super particular about grammar. So long as the meaning of what I said is clear to somebody it shouldn't matter whether or not I said it in the very particular way that school taught somebody would get them a perfect grade.

I agree on all counts. Only exception is in text there are times where spelling can be really important. "Imposer" vs "imposter" are two different words, for example, but only one letter apart. Long as the message is clear it shouldn't matter but sometimes punctuation, capitalization, and spelling can completely change the entire meaning of something you write, so that much at least is important. I'm fine with someone helping their Uncle -blam!- a horse, but it's a problem if someone's helping their uncle -blam!- a horse... Wow, even capitalized it censored Jack and jack. You can't put that name/word next to the word "off" either way, huh? Interesting censor system, Bungie...
