Oryx is unironically the most powerful and strongest of the Osmium Dynasty and pretty much all the Hive.
Eris needed the Guardians and she cheated her way to power by spawn-killing Savathun.

Hey, the fact that she even killed Savvy is still impressive. She didn't just immediately kill her, she gave Savvy a moment and then she killed her, so I wouldn't call that cheating. It still required power and skill from Eris

Eris told Imarru to revive Savathun, then talked to her for a minute and swung a scythe across her neck. All of her power was given by the Guardians.

Well if she would have went around things the more traditional way, they would have risked Xivu just coming and killing them all. They had to find the quickest way to get Eris the power she needed, and the quickest was to use the Guardian... I don't feel like she cheated, I feel like time was against them so they had to find the quickest solution. The only reason Eris even turned into a Hive was cause that was one of the quickest solutions they had, anything else would have taken too much time to do and figure out

They are not self made at all , they get power from the wormgods, and tithes from there minions slaughter , the Wormgods and The Witness made them what they are Eris made herself, without a worm or even the light , with tithes from the most powerful being in existence that killed 2/3 of them -
Oryx did not get power, he took it. To give is to be of the light, not of the sword logic.

Little Auresh would have been somethings snack on Fundament if The Witness didn't scare Sathona into going to the wormgods and accepting the pact and taking on the worm to make her Immortal and powerful -
Eris was the first Hive god to be made by the sword logic and not the power of a worm god. That alone is a huge achievement. On top of that, yes, she did need the guardians for tithes. But she wasn’t even hive to start with. She’s a human gone hive. For her to be the most powerful and she’s not even hive at origin? It’s pretty astonishing.
