Currated Gold Brave weapon drops
It was my understanding from the video that the gold special cammo brave weapon drops were coming with specific developer selected perks. please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
I am not going back and watching live streams recordings to double check my understanding.
I got a gold special cammo mountaintop drop, with lead from gold and one-for-all. Not nearly what I would think is a good roll let alone one that would be close to god roll. I guess I would believe the Devs would pick this for their desired perks.
But anyways, what have you all seen out there with the curated gold cammo drops?

The developer curated rolls are from Arcite’s weekly quests to unlock the weapon to be in the loot pool. The gold variants you get afterwards are randomly rolled. Let’s take the Recluse as an example. When completing the quest for it, it’ll drop with Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Feeding Frenzy, Master of Arms, and a Stability Masterwork. Every gold drop of the Recluse that you acquire afterwards will be randomly rolled plus have a different type of masterwork fully maxed out. If you deleted the roll you had gotten from Arcite’s quest then you’ll have to try your luck getting another similar roll to drop. All of the dev curated rolls are visible via light.gg

I got the sniper today and it’s a great roll. They’re not super common and that’s what makes them special.

You were correct to expect the gun with perks, your mistake was to expect them with good perks.

Edited by Mudd-11: 4/22/2024 6:43:44 PMMost curated rolls in the game are typically less powerful than a perfect roll, not sure why they put them in as curated when half of the time the perks barely work together and where something else is very obviously better. It just adds to the speculation that Bungie doesn't play their own game, even though they likely do. To be fair, if you do nothing but work on the game all day then you probably aren't going to go home at night and hop on for several hours yourself. That and those of us who are on this game all the time are probably going to be better at figuring out the best combos and what works best for us in general. Personally I can't think of one curated roll that I have kept over the years, but then they rarely drop so I don't know them all.

1 ReplyNot one single brave gold weapon this week other than completing the quest. Last week fine per the drop rate…. But I attuned to the midnight and have not received one drop. 🤦

I have to admit, I do really like lead from gold!! It's 100% a pve perk, and extremely useful for double special builds.

the curated roll is only for the quest, the random gold brave gun have double perks with all the options

Edited by Sir_Latvia: 4/20/2024 1:00:22 PMThe whole point of curated rolls are to give a solid like 6/10 roll. You will have to farm for something better or a god roll. So i ever only keep the first curated roll I get until I get something better, once I do im deleting it.

They are solid but obviously they had to leave room for improvement and give to those, that want to invest extra time, a reason to grind. Also, each and everyone of us has their own idea of a "god roll". What works for you might not necessarily work for me and vice versa.

Yes, the quests will reward a curated brave version. Shiny weapons with random rolls can drop after attuning
