I hate that I as a HUNTER learn HUNTER abilities from a WARLOCK. Does nobody else find that weird? I say have a different vendor for each class. It'd also be nice to see class bounties become a thing. "Kill 50 enemies with weighted Throwing knife." Maybe " kill 5 enemies at once with Blade Barrage." Something like that.

Well Warlocks are known to be the powerful ability-based characters. I don’t know about you, but I think Cayde-6 trying to teach us how to use abilities would be kind of difficult to take seriously. Or Lord Shaxx who talks too loud, or Commander Zavala, whose voice actor passed away. It just makes more sense for someone like Osiris or Ikora to teach us how to harness and control our abilities.

I want a new way to learn. Meditate at a spot in the sanctuary (the Tower) to enter "the Abyss" where you train in one of nine mechanically challenging (basic mechanics, easy to figure out) trials to test your knowledge of the light and its power, 3 for each element. Imagining these trials in real life, it would be extremely painful. For the darkness, these trials would be found on their "homeworlds" with whomever appropriate from the DLC. These subclasses would also become free to everyone and not require the DLC, considering how powerful new subclasses are, they basically become pay to win, such as the Hunter Shatterdive from Beyond Light or the Threaded Spectre from Lightfall. Meditate at Elsie's camp on Europa for Stasis, or with Osiris on Neomuna for Strand.
