Use DIM to have as many loadouts as you want saved. Then use Destiny to have the ones that you actually use on a daily basis.
I'm all for more loadouts in game. But until then, here's my advice^

No anyone can use dim
-
It's available on mobile and tablets too
It's available on mobile and tablets too
For ps5?

Can you open the internet browser on PS5 whilst playing Destiny?
Can you open the internet browser on PS5 whilst playing Destiny?
Don’t know never tried seems like that’s a tough task for a controller but I don’t know.

All you do is Google destiny item manager on any of your devices and sign in then bam

Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/22/2024 1:47:25 PMThe main thing anyway is that if you play on ps5, you can use DIM on your mobile phone or tablet and it will function the same as if you were on PC. Why not test it? Take something from your vault on dim and put it on one of your characters inventories and see if Destiny on PS5 acknowledges it

The game doesn't come preloaded with DIM or the extra device someone might need to run it simultaneously with destiny. It doesn't come with the knowledge of how to use DIM because there is a learning curve to DIM and Destiny itself. Loadout slots are convenient and accessible to everyone, especially new players. It could use a few more slots.

Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/22/2024 2:29:53 AMNext time I recommend reading the full thing, I didn't type that much.
I'm all for more loadouts in game. But until then, here's my advice^
Fair enough, your trying to help but it gets old to have people keep suggesting dim as the answer to problems but also saying they can't even play destiny without it. That's a game breaking problem and probably should be fixed.
-
And at the end of the game life, bungie adds a very limited and half baked version of DIM while demanding DIM to be discontinued for some lame reasons

Does DIM have an app?
-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.destinyitemmanager.app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.destinyitemmanager.app
Oh, now that's what I call item management. I don't know why it took me this long to know about the DIM app. 1000s of hours played & here we are. 🤣

Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/19/2024 4:29:48 PMIt took me a long time to cave and start using DIM. It's just too useful. Slowly but surely destiny adds Dim-esque things like the vault in orbit, but dims search and sorting features are still just unmatched lol
-
I always have DIM open on my laptop as I play. Ok you have to be outside an activity to equip a loadout from it but for shuffling inventory and access to the armour picker it's just so useful.
-
Yeah it's genuinely wild. I almost can't function now without DIM it's that useful lol
-
Oh god those times when you log on and find 3rd party apps are disabled I almost don't feel like playing lol. As most of the stuff for everyday use is on characters rather than in the vault having vault in orbit isn't really helpful. ;)
-
This is what i do, would you know how many we can save to dim, i think i got 6 saved for eqch character

Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/19/2024 2:45:31 PMI don't know what the max is but I have 14 on dim for my hunter. I only really buildcraft seriously for my main. For the others 10 slots is enough Edit: I'm being told the number of loadouts for dim is unlimited.
-
Excellent, i like to try new builds and if they good i save them to dim, just wondered if there was a limit but if you got 14 for hunter thats plenty for me 👍
-
I've been using it for the past 3 sesons so in my web browser there are 3 folders S21, 22, 23 builds and in DIM I currently have 92 Warlock, 38 Titan and 53 Hunter builds. When saving the name in DIM I always start with the season number "S23 Warlock Strand Onslaught" for instance but looking at those numbers I really should do a cleanup. :)
