The first blights are the small taken orbs in the very first room - the spawn area.
Are these the ones you're destroying?

Nope, didn't know those were the ones it was talking about and didn't even know those ones existed. I thought it was later in the combat areas with the typical big ones because those are also called Taken Blights by the majority of players. They even had Destroy objective markers appear on them.
