I guess I should read the article first but if its successful you'd think they would probably add more over time. Too much at once would probably be a mess and some of us have pretty limited buildcrafting skills as it is. And some of us can't work a persistence passage card. So it probably doesn't need to be too complex when first released.

That, and they are trying to keep all subclasses viable, as I have been saying since the reveal dropped. The idea is you can either have a general build that allows you to mix in match, the limitations being that it does not have singular damage type synergy, or you could have a specialized build that allows for the same type damage synergy, but misses out on the general builds that prismatic could provide This also balances prismatic so that it’s not Uber OP. I do think that with the system that prismatic has emplaced, that being transcendent, we could possibly get a similar effect on our Light and Darkness subclasses. Here is some ideas I have had for this Strand Titan - World Slash. Causes you to launch out a forward slash that does a ton of damage (not as much as a super) and severs and unravels the target for an extended period of time Warlock - Weave Spike. It is a miniature version of the Needle Storm. Shoot three larger Needles from your palm that will target an enemy. Upon hit, the release a Threading from within. Hunter - Entrapment. Within a radius of you, pull all target toward you. Right after, Within a smaller radius, all targets are suspended. Your Threaded spike while (Transcendent) does bonus damage to Suspended Targets. Ark Titan - Thunder. Slam your fist into the ground to create a concussive force that does a ton of damage (once again, not the same as a super) and blinds any target hit Warlock - Lightning. Summon a large arc of lightning that will chain from you (and if you are in the air, to the ground) then to enemies, Jolting them Hunter - Maelstrom. Summon a whirlwind of arc energy around you that amplifies you and any allies within it. Your abilities charge faster within the maelstrom, and enemy combatants are disoriented (ie, they have the weaken effect without the damage bonus) and are slowly pulled toward you. Enemies are more prone to staggering These are only ideas of course, and a good way to allow guardians an extra ability without having a 2nd super.

  • Yeah. I like that you brought up that there are also "tradeoffs" to using wielding both at the same time. Of course its going to be stronger than everything when it comes out like new subclasses usually are. I definitely like the ideas for how it could further evolve over time. The pushing and pulling effects are going to be interesting to see put to use so any time I see those attached to hunters that's a good thing.

We got Light 3.0 because of Stasis. I would be a fool to think that we wouldn’t get some form of the Transcendence system on the other classes.

Absolutely, Transcendence is the crux of Prismatic... The artifact next year is all about Transcendence. They used artifact data for Light 3.0... the Stasis Changes... they'll use it to tune Strand. And likewise, the key passive Transcendence will evolve over time. I don't think it will be on any of the other classes though.

  • Very true. There are a lot of things like the evolution of DR that moved on to Strand after light 3.0 that are like that. So hopefully there continues to be that cross pollination among all the subclasses.
