Voted no. Why does it need to be made easier for new players? No, I'm not gate keeping, but that's dumb lol. They are new, so of course they not gonna have all the best stuff fresh out the gate. And you know what? That's ok.
They can play the game like every one else. Just cause they new doesn't make them special lol.
Hell, bungie already helping them out by giving them loot that makes them soft cap light level by just logging on and opening a chest lol.

How far back with weapons are you talking about going? Asking because the seasonal weapons that were released in that dlc year are there, it's just previous that aren't. And to that, I say, "Oh well'. Which is what the majority of games say when it comes to old stuff. They say you should've played the game then. But for some reason yall want bungie to be the exception just cause lol. And there is no reason they should. There are plenty of weapons in that current dlc year available that new players can get and do just fine with in game.

That was released 2 years ago lol. To those that want it now, but didn't play then, oh well. Besides, they'll be fine. There are plenty of side arms in the game right now that are just as good as the drang. They just don't have the drang name.

It gives them nothing to 'play' for since loot is what bungie uses to encourage/ keep players engaged chasing. Bungie pulled the curtain back and showed us it's not like people like to say. Games aren't rigged, we tend to play people close to our own level more often, etc. It only seems bad to people cause they losing lol. That's it. When they winning, they never mention matchmaking. The player base isn't as small as you're trying to imply. Also, don't you think over time, people can and will just get better at the game? Which means the more you play, you probably will play better people cause they've gotten better.

Matchmaking isn’t fine, not sure if you live under a rock but, research some more. Over a low player base population it makes it intimidating for newer guardians to improve and evolve to play even more difficult play modes. Bungie, listening to the “Get Gud.” Players such as yourself is the reason why the games in this state. It’s not Bungies, fault. It’s listening to people that play this 12 hours a day without a job and fortunately, there’s a lot more players that don’t have time to do that than the “Other.” It’s an MMO, not Dark Souls. Switch games.

Matchmaking is fine, the issue is how we choose to play the game. The majority just want to win no matter the pvp activity, that's their fun, and that's why they use meta things the majority of the time. That's why they always complain each match is sweaty cause that's how they play the game. I don't tell people that, but eventually you are going to have to get good at the game lol. It's pvp, you want to do better, you have to get better. Just remember there will always be people better and worse than you. You will never be the best. Since I don't fit the description you just said, they aren't listening to me lol.

However, clearly your way isn’t improving the player base, it’s keeping it at a stand still and rapidly declining. What do you suggest?

How do you know it's rapidly declining? Where are your facts/numbers to prove that? And if you're talking about player count being 'low' right now, this isn't new. The flow of people goes in a cycle. This is the point of the season/cycle people tend to take off from the game. And then people act like the game is in trouble, has been that way since d1 lol. We'll see an increase starting next week with the into the light stuff. Cause that's new stuff to go after, which is what keeps people playing an old game.

You posted an article about steam from 6 months ago lol. First, the game isn't pc only. The majority of players are on console. Secondly, like I said this is that time of the season people take breaks from the game. With this being an extended season, people were going to be gone for longer. But they'll be back when new things are added. That's how the cycle goes. It'll start next week.

They didn't lose 40% revenue, that was a projection miss. If they missed that much on revenue, we wouldn't be playing this game right now lol. They made a lot of money. The projection was just unrealistic, but like I said, they made a lot of money. Actually, that's not true. Beyond light was higher than shadowkeep. Witch queen was higher than beyond light. Lightfall was the first time it was lower. So, I think you need to follow your own advice lol.

Projections. You keep forgetting that word, which is important. They missed on projections, not actual revenue. Like I said, if they did that, we wouldn't be playing this game right now.
