A bungie dev once said they'd never bring super black into D2 because it would be all anyone would wear & no one would use other cosmetics, thinly veiled saying it would stop people spending money bcoz nothing would ever top superblack. He also said if it where to ever come back it would signal the end of days for the game, a way for bungie to thank fans for sticking around for so long. That guy is no longer there, this was 4-5 years ago, but his point still stands true, if as I expect icebreaker returns too, super black will be the last nostalgia card bungie could use & could very well be a goodbye
