Bungie wont forcibly unlink an account.
If you sign into Bungie.net with the Steam, does it sign you into your current account? if it doesn't then you've got the wrong account linked and will need to work with Steam to figure out which account (whether a completely different one or a sub account) is linked

I can log in to my Steam account without any problem. The problem is Cross Safe that wants to log in. It is linked to the account for which I know the login details. I try to log in with that and every time I get an error and I cannot disconnect.

Then you are logging in with the wrong credentials for that linked account. You need to work with Steam support to determine if additional accounts have been created for the same email address and recover access to the account.
