Thanks to those that offered advice. Seems to me that my inability to figure this out makes me an idiot to some. Wasn't bait, just hoping to figure out if I was missing something about the ASCENDANT challenges. Been playing, casually, for years and now I just avoid the stuff I must be to inept to accomplish. I truly am one of those that just get upset and stop playing. I just recently decided to try and use the forum for advice. I don't stream, I don't have a fire team and I don't play to die I play to have fun and relax. Congrats to all who find it all too easy to be concerned with. Not this guy, I'll just continue to go without certain loot. And play Vanguard, gambit, and repeat missions until new material comes out. So that I don't trigger to many others, I'll avoid the forums from now on as well, I guess.
