I love everything about the skimmer; except for getting off of it. I dont want to mash the button 10 times before I get off my skimmer anymore. Exiting sparrows has always been a single smooth button press. Please fix skimmer 🍒

I feel the same way. If I had to guess the delay is probably there to prevent people from exploiting its movement somehow, but ultimately it's just interfering with casual use. With that said, this is literally the only negative I can find with the skimmer. I love using it. If they can just make this one change it will be perfect.

my skimmer feedback: - please have alot less surprise fall damage - please make the RB n LB just like the sparrows dodge - the jump off should be alot more consistent please - please bring back SRL
-
Exiting the skimmer is one button press. Just don't be grinding.
-
I had to make a macro to jump off the skimmer tbh. (Also allows to jump off while in the air)

It’s actually not difficult to get off of you know what to do- just hit the interact button to get from grind to normal riding mode then another hit of the interact button gets you off. If they changed it to a single button press there would be no way to keep riding once you’re done the grind, other than mapping a full dismount to another key, which is pointless Edit- roaming around Neomuna and it definitely took multiple key hits to get off the grind. So yes, I whole heartedly agree with you lol
-
I’m pretty sure you need to be on the ground before you can get off. I know you can’t if you’re grinding or in the air from the jump boost.
-
And as a snowboarder/former skater and surfer…. Why can’t my character be goofy footed like myself? 😂😂
-
You can’t get off the skimmer if your grinding or you boosted into the air an jumped. I press one button an I get off just fine.
-
Facts, I always have to smash the A button like 10 times to finally get off. It’s definitely annoying, because when doing the rainbow road in Prophecy, when you’re out of boost you can jump off and spawn a new one. But if you can’t do it quickly, you take a bunch of fall damage and then you’re susceptible to snipers.
-
Agreed... I'd also like to be able to choose a strafe dodge rather than the whirlybird thing.

Edited by Epic ways: 3/22/2024 1:50:38 PMActually the sparrow is a bit like this, too. Long ago, bungie made a change on how you exit the sparrow. Players used to be able to fly off their sparrow when getting off sparrow at high speed. Bungie didn’t like people making a longer jump by doing that so they nerfed it making it a bit harder to do that jump/fly or simply getting off sparrow. I still have to mashed the buttons just to either get on or off. :/
-
Which button are you mashing ?
-
Wow, thank you all! I thought it was just me that had major issues getting off the dang thing. I love them very much and can't see myself using a normal sparrow again. But dang it's been really hard and extremely frustrating to get off it.
-
Yes please!!
-
I've seen SO many guardians (myself included), going to the right on the Corrupted GM and dying somewhere on the right lol.
-
Agree 100%.

Agreed.

I concur. I can never get off the damn thing.
-
I haven't noticed much difference getting off the skimmer than getting off the Sparrow

Read this before they delete it, the truth has to be heard! Brace yourselfs. The earth is not flat you’ve been lied to, o no their here.. ps free Tupac

There is tech to quick dismount, which lets you re-summon without losing more than a couple meters of height.
-
Most likely intentional so you can’t grind all the way, immediately jump off and maintain your same vertical height, which could break a lot of boundaries
