Quitting is getting out of control again.
They need to stiffen the penalties in Trials and Comp.
Double losses/points for quitters and it will put an end to it quickly.

Great idea but seeing it’s not in the game quitting matches shouldn’t be a thing.

I disagree. People will just simply stop playing. Not sure which is better / worse - but worsening the penalty isn’t going to do anything.

There’s a huge difference between choosing not to play because you don’t like it and loading in, knowing you don’t like it and quitting matches. It’s ruining my matches and others matches. It’s a pretty selfish thing to do. So yeah I report quitters every day for disrupting matches. I hope Bungie hands down much harsher penalties to stop it.

If it's likely a loss anyway, what's to lose? I hate quitters. They should be perma banned, IMO. If your ego is so fragile that losing a game of PvP induces you to rage quit, you should seek mental advice and you shouldn't be playing an online competitive game, IMO.

With that said, I generally don't quit/leave myself; I'm in whichever PvP mode for either Bounties/Quests or rep, so I can continue progress even whilst losing. But I get why some impatient people with limited time do quit guaranteed losses.

Your argument doesn't hold up. If "time" was so important, wouldn't you not play in the first place? If you've decided to commit the time but then find that losing is wasting that time and quit, again, I think you should be banned. If that's someone's excuse for quitting, it's pretty weak IMO.
