Ported from console, remastered for PC Destiny 2 is just a reskin of D1 iirc, the game code doesn't allow for it or has space issues or some such excuse made by some dev in some stream in the past ...

D1 had much better vault sorting options, like separate vaults for armor, weapons, and inventory, etc.
