Persistent HDR Issues on Xbox Series X with Different Monitors (Destiny 2)
I wanted to ask about the ongoing HDR issue I have with my Xbox Series X. The game's visual quality looks pretty bad on my 4K ROG Swift OLED PG48UQ monitor, to the point where the colors appear incredibly washed out, the image is so dark and the overall image quality is just plain awful.
But this isn’t what’s even crazy to me bcuz when I switch to playing the game on my non-OLED 4K monitor, Samsung Odyssey G7 S28AG700 (28"), the visual quality improves dramatically. The colors are vibrant, and the overall picture is beautiful, which is a stark contrast to what I'm experiencing on the OLED.
I understand that Destiny 2's HDR implementation has been awful to some people ever since the launch of With Queen but I also read that Bungie had released a fix, but people from Bungie Forums and Reddit, still face these issues despite people owning high-end monitors/TV’s.
Has anyone else experienced similar HDR issues with Destiny 2 with a similar setups? If so, have you found any workaround or settings adjustment that mitigates the problem a little? Also is there any word from Bungie about a permanent fix for this HDR issue in the near future or at least acknowledgment that this still is an issue? It seems like a significant enough problem that it would warrant their attention again.
