This must be a bug.
We've had the same daily rocket launcher bounty from the Gunsmith for the 16th consecutive week.
We've had the same daily bounty 19 weeks out of the last 21 weeks.
I understand that the bounties are picked once a week (curated manually or picked randomly?). They refresh each week and new selection of daily bounties become available.
But 19 weeks of doing the exact same bounty is super boring, when bounties are already boring to start with. We've had the same daily bounty since before Thanksgiving last year!
Because you get like 8 rounds in a rocket, I'm basically forced to use Eye of Tomorrow. It's difficult to get 20+ kills for the bounty with only 8 rockets using regular RLs, Gjally does it, Wardcliff does it, but EoT is the most consistent because it doesn't rely on the enemies to be grouped together.
Please give us other daily bounties like heavy GL, Machine Guns, Sword, Linears - any other power weapon besides RLs.

If you're trying to provide feedback, please head over to the Destiny 2 - Feedback forum to request that the bounties be less-tied to the Seasonal weapons. It's not a bug that the daily bounties from the Gunsmith are heavily influenced by the weapons that are majorly featured for the season. Please check your Artifact and you will probably see the relation. It's not a bug; it's intended. [b][u]In addition to that, as Machine Guns are also one of the featured weapons, it should be noted that for the reset on Feb 27th, 2024, the heavy daily bounty is for Machine Guns. It was already active when you posted this.[/u][/b] As far as having issues getting rocket kills, many others have suggested to you all sorts of ways to get the rocket kills with little effort in your multitude of other posts. I'll offer you the one I use. Go to Europa; go to the Perdition Lost Sector; in the boss room, kill the boss without killing any of the other enemies in the boss room. This will cause a ton of other regular enemies to spawn in the room. Shoot them with a rocket; I use Gjallahorn myself, as it kills a ton of them with explosions and then the Wolfpack Rounds kill nearly all, if not all, of the rest. So with 1 shot, you can almost fulfill the required number. Not including the boss in that boss room, 20 other enemies are there. The room is also considerably small, not a wide-open area, so even if the enemies aren't grouped together, you can still take most, if not all, out with 2-3 shots. I timed it just for this reply; it took me 3 minutes and 18 seconds from spawning at the south fly-in point to doing the exact thing I spoke about above. I actually missed killing 3 enemies for this one and had to fire a second rocket to take them out. That mess-up is included in the time I mentioned. Please don't make multiple posts in the help forum about the same issue that isn't a bug, is working as intended, and you just want to see changed. Continuing to post your request for change in the wrong forum after having been informed of the place you need to post it might come across as spam.
