It is very demoralizing to play six games of comp and lose rank. If my win rate is 50%, shouldn't I hover at the same rank? What makes one win worth more or less than another? What makes the losses so punishing? It is really reducing my desire to gild my Glorious title to zero.
The playlist is fun if you don't care about number go up, but when you are trying to get up in rank, it seems nigh impossible. Even if I get a 66% win ratio, that one loss is going to cancel nearly both wins... I'm not understanding.
I read somewhere that the rewards are weighted against how difficult your opponent is, but when every match is close and hard fought, I begin to really resent the low rewards and the high punishments.
If there is a system in place and it makes sense for a bunch of good reasons, I'll respect that. But if the reasons aren't really working out, can we change it, please?

Basically works like this. Low rank = high reward and low risk regarding points. People in the low brackets have a low skill rating. If you outclass them you progress fast. As your skill increases, your rank increases and playing people of similar skill rewards average points and also reduces average points. In higher skill bracket if you beat a team much better than you, you get +150 or so, if you lose to a team much better than you, you lose minimal points. If you are rated higher than your other teammates and your team loses because your teammates suck. You will lose huge points for not beating players worse than you. Kills and deaths also contribute a little, but much less. Sucks but it's how it is.
