Shards are not an issue to acquire. I have over 100 exotics masterworked in my vault because my postmaster was always full of shards.

  • You specifically asked Bungie to lower the cost of the armor upgrade. If you feel the cost is too high for the return then you would be in a position of being shard poor. If you have no issue obtaining shards then you would be in a position where the price of the upgrade is negligible.

    Is that really all I said? Can you seriously just not be bothered to read the last line in my short post? I don't have any issues getting shards. It's about getting a pay off. A reason to justify the higher shard cost. A change that would literally only benefit you too. You're arguing for the sake of arguing.

  • If the shards are easily accessible then the payoff is relevant, if the shards were hard to get I would be more sympathetic to your position. Again since you feel the cost is unjust you are implying that shards are difficult to acquire.

    No, I'm implying that a cost should have a reason and benefit on par with the cost. Imagine if Exotics had no abilities and were just yellow legendaries you could only equip one of. You would need a reason to equip it right? Think Mark. Think. Rarity and cost. Itemization is a loot game. Sht should be a no brainer.

  • But exotics have abilities, you're going in circles. If you feel exotics are not worth the price to masterwork then give up the 12 stat points and don't do it or better yet run all legendary armor. Truly a bigger issue than the economy of masterworking exotics is the likelihood of getting one to drop with good stats.
