Now that I think hard about it, there's something that can possibly be reduced / clean up the systems ui for a better user experience. ever since Day Destiny 1, we've all had different sparrows , ships and ghosts , that would take up space. most if not all players tend to have their favorite sparrows on their person and swap between them all the time. so that means assuming every player has 9 of these items, for ghosts ships and sparrows, that's a lot of data.
Why not convert them to ornaments? Sparrows with the exception of a few legendary, rares and uncommon variants which very few if any ever use, roughly all now share the same speed. the same is true for ships, ships serve no purpose other then cutscene fodder, loading screen prompts and cosmetic, so why can't they simply be an ornament? Destiny will never have missions where we can actually pilot them after all. Ghost shells are a bit trickier to deal with as they function as armor, even if most of the time you only really get them from bright engrams. But it should be considered after all the kill tracker shell, and I believe a few raid exlusive shells have certain unique features, they should be condensed.
Thus allowing all of this, to be saved and swapped around in loadouts as vanity.
What do you all think?

I don't think there's a server space issue, rather the size of the game itself, too big to easily download. Besides, things like sparrows, ghosts, guns etc are only stored as numbers and the actual sparrow is only stored once. You might have sparrows 10, 25 and 130 for instance and that refers back to the stored sparrows on the server.
