I am constantly being punished for other team members leaving after the first round! I’ve lost countless ranks in the competitive playlist and flawless games because people rage quit. And the problem is there isn’t a way to prevent it.
We need something to happen about quitting in Competitive and Trials. There needs to be recognition for solo players leaving matches throughout the entire match not just the afk boot.
What do you think about if a solo player leaves at anytime, wins=nothing changes, lose the match (no penalty or reduced penalty)? If you are a solo player with a 2 stack and the two stack leaves= same results? Of course this won’t affect those in a 3 stack, but will for those in a 2 stacks that have their solo player leave. Does this seem fair and balanced?

Edited by ⒻⒶⒷⓄⓊⓇⒼⒺ: 2/4/2024 12:12:50 PMOnly thing that would somewhat help is SSBM. Unfortunately that will never happen so you are stuck with people with a sh*tty mentality of leaving matches. Speaking about trials

Edited by SEARS // ABSOLUTE KILLA: 2/4/2024 11:41:02 AMThe solution isn't punishment. The solution is not creating hopeless matchups. Yea yea I get it...player numbers are low blah blah. Then put some effort into incentives to play pvp. Bungie is the problem...not the quitters.

Chess meme work wonders here 😅😅 1. It's competitive 2. Requires skills and knowledge 3. Not a single balance update since the 8th century 😅😂

Life is always more important than games breh, trials is no big deal not sure why everyone treats it like S tier pvp when it’s not.

Why hasn’t this game already implemented some type of protection for the other players? Teammate quits match so protection kicks in to allow the other two players to quit with no penalty and the winning team still gets there W. No message saying you quit early. No penalty to your rep. For trials none of your mercy being used. For the player who was the first to quit; well sir/madam you will feel the wrath of the communities pain. More rep loss compared to just losing the match and for trials double the mercy loss. If your at no mercy used now you just lost them all and if your on that 1st loss forgiven; yup, you guessed it; flawed card. Quitting hurts the match and game experience but this should not hurt those who choose not to do so. Protect the more righteous players and slam the burning maul at those who proceed to do wrong. I mean come on Bungie. We all know by now you suck at matchmaking and your map designs and game modes have fallen hard from your glory days of Halo. The least you can do at this point to help us stay sane and engaged is to protect the players from your bad decisions. We are not your employees who have to deal with bad leadership decisions till we find a better job or hope for a miracle in better leadership. No. We are your customers and should be treated accordingly.

If the quickplay mode sees a super high quit rate then I begin to think your comp mode has a high quit rate as well and that means something way more than quickplay. Not gonna stress lose the value of having fun in a game because someone leaves and it’s virtually impossible to win. That’s a no.

LFG prevents it

Honestly I leave all the time 90% of the time you can predict the outcome of a match so why wait for the L I’m not having fun the match is not competitive so idd rather leave

Edited by coda-jj: 2/2/2024 6:38:34 PMPeople being forced to stay in a match due to mismatches is dumb. Youre punishing players due to game design. You’re only forcing them and yourself to stay in a hopeless match longer when they should be allowed to leave and actually help in a match they truly can win. They’ve given up already even being forced to stay so why force them and you to stay longer? If you look at destiny tracker, you can usually tell who was going to win and 90% of the time the percentage was right. If a team had a 80% chance of winning, they usually win 5-2 or 5-1. There are exceptions and I don’t ever leave myself but I don’t care if people leave so we all can move on to an actual winnable match

Edited by Avvor: 2/3/2024 12:54:47 AMTbh you can’t really blame someone for rage quitting with you on the team If your losing the match it’s only a real d move if it’s even on rounds or your winning

Bungie is bad at PvP. They don’t have a clue.

I really think it’s a great time to walk away especially with comp and trials which are two terrible modes to begin with . Like why would you put yourself through it ! Also Bungie have completely walked away from crucible which really obvious, there not going to be a lot going on or fixes . Marathon is bungies new baby and all the focus is there .

PSA: don’t be a quitter…you are the bane of your teammates. 😠❌😠 Play fair! Play nice! Or don’t play at all. 👈 Ease springs! 🫡
-
Unfortunately, that is a part of the game mode. It’s a part of FPS and competitive online gaming in general. It sucks, but you gotta just win your next couple of matches to make up for it. That is literally all you can do or have control over. Or you can come to the forums and beg for change, in vain. Not gonna happen. So instead of wasting energy here, save it for your next comp win, which you will probably have to do some carrying in.

Form a team. Get a duo partner. Then you have some control over whether someone will stay or go. Otherwise, play solo and be at the mercy of a person's whims. It's the risk you assume to primarily have an environment with teams not possessing priorly established coordination.

the game is dead and it i will only get worst till the new season. also if you are on PC XIMs and Hard cheats are back to pre level anti cheat times. i wish we could 3 peek again.

Edited by A_mo: 2/1/2024 11:47:13 PMIf quitting is that bad then that's not going to discourage it. It might even encourage it so something larger would have to be done like changing Comp up, maybe in terms of the modes people are playing.
