Agree with shotguns except for precision frames people are starting to use them again not even just for the glitch but people are surprised they actually do a lot of damage. It'd be better only to give like a 10% buff. Swords I agree with but two sword frames need some extra buffs for reasons I'll explain Aggressive swords which used to be the king of swords for dealing massive burst damage and having decent dps now have terrible dps and not even the best burst damage the cost of slow swings and low ammo no longer is offset by high damage as now they only deal like 5% more per a swing. I saw a test where a god roll Aggressive dealt like a quarter of any other sword and the only use was a double heavy attack but even with that many swords still would win over them. And then we have caster frames very high ammo cost basically no damage output as basically any special weapon outputs far more dps and total damage you can already see the issue here.

I think swords do pretty well for damage. Rather, an idea I've had is: During your heavy attack, you are granted the benefits of blocking for the duration of the animation. This let's skill-expression come through - by timing heavy attacks (which are generally detrimental to total damage and minimally effective for dps), you can stay closer to a boss after it's stomp, and be alive without need of well of radiance. For shotguns, aggressive frame needs more reserve ammo. Their intrinsic "onslaught-esque" perk (final blows significantly increase rate of fire) needs to be played into. They're heavy-duty ad/major clear, not necessarily dps. They, in return, should avoid being buffed by the 35%.

Bonuses to swords are great aside from damage. Aren’t swords and shotguns already what we use for boss damage (when appropriate)? Why increase their dps potential when they’re already the meta?

Shotguns in pvp are powerful enough, you can't get better then 1 shot
