so many wrongly cross save account link issues these days
Bungie really don't consider bring back the ability to change main character while cross save is on? even if when epic has no destiny data, steam has one, bungie still allow an empty account to be the main? that's ridiculous. since just purchased silver coins recently, my friend even has to wait for 90 days before removing the empty epic account, leaving a hidden steam 32h character.

This is definitely user error. The page specifically says “Choose your active characters. The characters you choose will be the characters that appear on all platforms.” There is 0 reasons your friend should’ve thought to choose the account with no characters.
