Petition for Bungie to bring back snowballs to the Tower.
We need to be able to pelt each other with freezy snowballs again, it was so much fun to troll fellow players and slow them down as they try to speedrun or get more bounties.
Please bring the Snowballs back in all their glory freezing and slowing down other players!
It was so fun to negatively affect other players and make them curse you out, I miss that, fun times.
Trolls unite! we need the Snowballs again,
Make Snowballs Great Again!!!!

I also want a counter on my emblem for how many snowballs I hit people with
-
Competitive over the dawning should be rumble with the tower for a map with snowballs active, no guns.
-
Yeah the thing is there were guys throwing snowballs nonstop, it's fun for a few throws but straight up slowing a player for minutes at a time is what got it removed. Probably. It's fun to do with clanmates or friends but they should've added some kinda debuff brazier or anything that gives a 1 minute snowball protection or something i dunno. People ruined it. You're right it was alotta fun and then after we had them in Nightfalls. Which was alotta fun aswell. And now it's all gone. Dunno why. Less. Less. Less.
-
I doubt they will bring them back for the Tower as people cry and complain that they don't like it because it hurt's their feelings by being hit by snowballs in a video game. With bungie being all about feelings and virtue signaling ( Make sure you get your pronouns correct for vidoc's but don't bother making a functioning game ) Therefor bungie = No Fun Police
-
I prefer snowballs in strikes They proc Stasis effects
-
we don't need snowballs, we need a functioning game.
-
it was so much fun to troll fellow players and slow them down as they try to speedrun or get more bounties
And this is exactly why they were rightfully removed.
-
Imagine a snowball crucible mode. But like mayhem no guns just punch and snowballs. A snowball is a one hit kill snowball mayhem
-
I’ll take ‘em back in strikes and patrol too, please!😁
-
Make snowballs red border and craftable!

Edited by Joulevette12: 12/5/2023 1:58:22 AMPff you thinking too small bring back Mayhem NF even if just once a season lol
-
Snowballs in gambit as well. As its the Drifter's game, should probably be yellow snow.
-
I’ll take snowballs in any playlist or social space. Hopefully their effects in the Dawning will bring the potency this Season should have had for Stasis. I’ll take a Momentum Control playlist with just snowballs. Please and thank you.

Only if you foot the bill for some hot coco afterwards.
-
Now that we have the Farm back, at least until Final Shape - I say turn the soccer field into a massive snowball battle!!
-
Dude those were fun

The good news is, last year (maybe the year before?) I did indeed ask for more snowballs. We even got snowballs in Dares of Eternity - snowballs in Blind Well would be hilarious. There was a convincing argument of why having snowballs in the Tower would be more tedious than anything else, but honestly that feels like maybe just a designated area for a free for all makes more sense. There's plenty of nooks and crannies to put a free for all area where it wouldn't turn into a 'pelt-the-poor-sod-just-trying-to-level-up-at-the-tree' trollfest.

Yes please
-
Yes yes and YES
-
Agreed, was pretty fun to chase people around the tower slowing them with snowballs.
-
Snowballs hurt people’s feelings, so no dice 😂
-
If you could sit in the tower and throw snowballs at people and slow them that would be hilarious 😂
-
Edited by A_mo: 12/4/2023 7:39:29 PMI swear they were removed at least in small part because it's mean to throw snowballs at people that aren't expecting it. That's the kind of stuff, if true, that can actually wind up making less regular every day people want to play when it builds up over time, because no one wants to come home from work and feel like there's all these different parts of the game that feature unnecessary nanny provisions. And when some of them start to come across to people as being too values based for no reason it can even be a turn off to people that really were just trying to play a game after work.

In return the thrower has a 10 minute penalty of a 99% speed reduction that even persists through death and moving zones.
