It is currently bugged. It makes solar attacks you use have a moderate chance of adding 50 scorch to your target. This includes any CURE you use on [u]yourself[/u]. Healing via cure whether it be through grenades, abilities, or heal clip will likely cause you to gain 50 scorch which will chain onto itself and continue scorching you. Ignitions on yourself do not seem to cause any damage and remove scorch stacks but you will be losing health for a long time if you are unlucky.
