Why O why Bungie. I’m not even going to talk about blind wells only PVP. Players can’t believe they have removed the normal crucible game mode (6v6) and replaced it with checkmate. Checkmate is fun as a alternative which changed a lot in a good way for another mode to play in crucible but not as the main mode. I think the reason liked it was because it was one CBMM not SBMM and it was a bit more relaxed with special and ability usage than regular crucible. Now that it’s the only 6v6 mode it now runs SBMM instead of CBMM which was one of the thing that made it fun. This has caused massive upset with the Destiny 2 community as this has forced players to either get on board or go play one of the other modes (which are not much better) I would say another issue is how stagnant the mode has quickly become. With this new season we saw more abilities mods nerfed so that they now takes even longer to get abilities on the higher end refresh rate. This along side the fact special weapons get no ammo until you reach a specific amount of points completely lob sides the lobby as one team could dominate the first third of a match to only then receive special ammo. Afterwards would give them enough fire power to literally keep the other team from even playing. This all together has made season 23 one of the worst starting seasons is destiny’s 2 franchise. How did we have season 22 refresh so much about Destiny 2 with the way the seasons model added so many great new things for players to enjoy and by the flick of a switch all of that good work has been completely undone. They need better insight for what players want and stop heeding the advice of people who do not know what players want. I hope they fix this sooner rather than later as all I see in the forums is more people with the same thoughts.
