Dismantle for Infusion does not provide pattern progress
You can normally dismantle a red border weapon and get the pattern progress without having to go into details and manually extract the pattern. I dismantled one for infusion and it did not provide pattern progress. Lesson learned.

I read that too but know better. Safer to take the time doing it the ol fashion way then dismantle
