Dismantle for Infusion does not provide pattern progress
You can normally dismantle a red border weapon and get the pattern progress without having to go into details and manually extract the pattern. I dismantled one for infusion and it did not provide pattern progress. Lesson learned.

Infusion and dismantling are 2 separate things.

This is why you extract the pattern. So the game has no excuse to not give it to you.
