The number 1 priority in control (especially IB control) is to capture zones.
If you have 2 zones and the other team has 1, then you can get just over HALF of their kills and you'll win.
The other team can kill almost 2 TIMES as many guardians and still lose.
I want to commend my teammates based on how many zones they captured, since that is the #1 most important metric to winning a match. But most of the time, the post-match summary screen does not show zones captured. It probably leads many players to think that it doesn't matter, and the literally could not be more wrong. You win with zones. It's really that simple.
Please show the zones captured on the post-match summary.

It you capture 2 zones and focus on killing instead of capturing more zones you will win. That’s such an average joe player argument

Zones are important but the total score seems to be a more accurate portrayal of what people are doing and allowed to be doing.

Primary objective or number 1 priority in PvP is to get kills. In modes other than clash, rumble and any elimination type of game mode there are secondary objectives that help the 1st priority. Only rift can be said to have 1 objective to win but requires kills otherwise chances of dunking the rift are almost non existent

Edited by High Charity: 11/16/2023 7:43:22 PMLmao no. The no.1 priority in control is to get kills, the zones are simply score modifiers. Ideally you take 2 and hold them down and slay out on their spawn in zone 3. People who have to hit every zone and finish with next to no kills are actively making the game worse because you're forcing spawn flips and feed the other team bonuses for re-collecting the zone you took in under 5 seconds. Anyone telling you that capturing zones is the no. 1 priority has no idea what they're talking about

Only KDA matters in non-COMP playlists.

Agreed.

Can't embarrass the Clash heroes can we , even though they riot when there kills are not shown in zone control where it doesn't matter
