I love Hierarchy but the main thing is that it doesn't feel good to use. For me, it feels like the draw speed is so slow and clunky when uncharged. It feels slower than even WishEnder, which actually has the slowest draw time. The only time it feels nice is when it's charged, other than that, it feels horrible to use compared to WishEnder when ad clearing in GMs, which is where this clunkiness feeling feels more prominent.
Yes, I know some may justify WishEnder is essentially a sniper because of its damage/perk that's why it feels better but that's not the point.
The tempo and feel of the draw speed are ruined whenever you are uncharged, which feels prominent when returning down from charge. It doesn't feel like Archer's Tempo where you feel speedy with the buff, here you feel sluggish without the buff.
I propose either buffing its uncharged draw time even if it comes with lesser damage or equalise the draw time for both charged and uncharged.

I love this thing tbh. It just bugs me that the auto projectiles from shooting through the ring dissipate after a certain range. I guess I get it because OP bow turret from downtown...but still lol, wish they went out a little farther
-
Let Ticcu apply Scorch while we're at it. Better yet: bring back Warmind Cells! Both weapons would get indirectly buffed and HoN would have its easter egg interaction restored
-
Personally i still like hiearchy with catalyst from master dungeon Sure you do need a kill but that doesnt mean you cant get rwo charges from a headshot on hit really Its actually alot better when guidance ring is up with catalyst cause you can soam and it wont have terrible projectile velocity You could tap and it would do the work for you till you get it back really Though i would like them to maybe buff the damage on it Maybe at least a slice of scorch would do nicely i think

Dungeon Exotics are not allowed to be good They are nich very situational useless toys
-
I wish any bows fired through the guidance ring would get the tracking -blam!-, give it some nice utility.
-
The "charge" needs to be brought down to 3-4 instead of 6. It also needs to allow all bows fired to do increased damage and draw speed. Make it a great damage and utility weapon.
-
Yeah it’s one of my favorite exotics but rn it’s not in a great spot. If you wanna read some of petty -blam!- I have with the bow (idk why you would lol) you can read the spoiler
It used to have the best, if not some of the best dps potential among primary weapons (although it was very niche due to the range requirements), but after touch got buffed and energy weapons got their damage nerfed against non shields it’s largely fallen out of the role. I also have some annoyances with the bow that I found because I used it so much. Despite Apollonic rewarding long range usage, I found that the missiles will stop tracking after traveling a set distance. They will still do damage if they somehow hit, but most enemies will dodge them. Along with that, if you aim down sights through a ring at an enemy that is far enough away, the camera will focus on the ring and make the enemies blurry (This is because the ring is an object with a hitbox).
I do agree with you though, it’s main problem is how clunky it is to use. For a relatively simplish solution, maybe they could speed up the draw time for every guidance stack you have, then you could get the fully boosted speed when activating scramble? Personally I would go wild if they made it generate warmind cells intrinsically, purely because of the unique interaction where warmind cells would make the guidance rings massive

What's wrong with it? Once u get the ring it starts blasting, feeding you your super hellah quick. You can literally chain rings at that point even in GMs. Don't even get me started on multiple people running the bow, we did the devils lair with 2 hierarchies and deleted the walker room. Literally both brigs didn't stand a chance. In lower end u get 2 charges for a hs kill.

I ran that dungeon 30 plus x collected all the things to increase drop rate ran it in master another 15 x , stopped going in there. months passed ran it in regular mode ,then the bow dropped . A absolute joke of a drop rate for a bow I thought would be good. Nope its a trash can , way better options . Bungie you should be ashamed putting such crap exotics in the game and its not just this bow. Fix your game or close it down.
-
Buff the dang drop rate or put some bad luck protection in place. 35 completions and still nothing…. No, I’m not going to solo all bosses to “increase” my chances.
-
Ti su is doing better job than this. No more words
-
I’d say they should give it 15-20 more handling (stat) and increase the size of the guidance ring a little. I’m I’m going to be stuck playing like a turret, any additional area to shoot from is appreciated

I forgot that was a thing

I can't actually get the bloody thing to drop so I'll take your word for it buddy 👍

Honestly I feel like most bows feel terrible I honestly don't know how people have come to enjoy them. The only bow I enjoy is Leviathan's Breath, and that's because it actually feels powerful. If it were up to me I'd make them a special ammo weapon and have them do sniper damage

Edited by Olórin: 11/13/2023 4:34:28 AMI used to Love using my Hierarchy of Needs, I always had an urge to imagine it having the Gjallarhorn treatment where teammates with Bows have the ability to shoot through the Ring too. Also I haven't used it in a while but another reason why I dont really opt for it in GM's and such is because there isn't much synergy with Solar 3.0, only Solar weapon DMG buffs, which is fine I guess... I just wouldn't mind a majority or full range of weapons to be synergistic to matching class Elements.
-
Used it in a Phoenix well build for Devil’s Lair GM last week. Makes magic happen with a solar boost and anti barrier. Just gotta rev that charge
-
It should act kinda like parasite where kills with other weapons build up guidance ring as well. 20 kills with anything build one up, but precision hits and kills with hierarchy count for 4. Oh and remove range cap on missiles and make them reach max damage instantly.
-
Personally I kind of like its performance as is. Sure it feels clunky af without a guidance ring, but once you can get one up, by the Traveler does it ever feel amazing! And once you get it going, I usually don't find it too hard to keep the ring on permanently. Where I'd really love to see a buff is for them to make the guidance ring work for all allied bows that fire through it, rather than just other Hierarchies of Needs. It would be a really cool and interesting way to buff it besides just buffing the performance, which would feel good, to be sure, but would be kind of a boring buff, in my opinion.
