Reduce Range & [Increase recoil again on particularly effective subs remaining]
Or
Reduce Damage
Edit:
Or vastly increase the damage fall off scaling.
Especially on Shayuras and Unending Tempest

A nerf to controller aim assist would fix them somewhat

NeRf StOoMpIeS 🤦

Edited by Seiryoku: 11/9/2023 10:17:08 PMRumble 1. Unending Tempest 2. The Immortal (Adept) 3. Conditional Finality 4. Thorn 5. Ace of Spades 6. Rose 7. The Chaperone 8. Kept Confidence 9. Crimson 10. Hawkmoon I'm assuming the fear is that if Unending isn't broken with Immortal on its heels, Conditional will become too common and the demand for its nerf will be too high before Thorn usage skyrockets. If they make it to the exotic rotator for Hawkmoon, that should see a massive surge in usage. I understand the Submachine Guns represent two of the ten mostly populated by 140s in a gamemode people go to, to practice their 1s. There has to be wiggle room to make them not so free.

So this is something we can agree on. SMGs are fine with stability, I actually think that the stability is in a decent spot right now. The problem is them being able to have crazy range AND still being able to kill fast even once they begin to experience damage fall off. Your bullets can suffer 2-3 less damage and still have a fast TTK. Imo, they should vastly increase the damage fall off scalar, make it so when they’re just a meter or two outside they’re range you can really feel it. Additionally, nerf the outliers (Immortal, Tempest, Shayuras) and cap the range. SMGs shouldn’t be able to reach more than 20 meters, even the outliers.

Only if they leave PvE alone.

Anything that's good is considered "Too Strong" by entitled snowflakes trying to sway the meta in there favor And no I am not defending my crutch, I'm more of a pulse rifle guy in PvP Bungie needs to stop listening, or respond by buffing other weapons to counter the strong weapons , like SMGs,Sidearms and Fusions are a good counter to sliding shotgun apes

Almost like controllers aa is the problem but the bad controller players at Bungie ignore it.

I wouldn' t touch the stability anymore. Most have a good kick to them now at range (at least on controller). Any more and it would What bungie needs to do first of all is reduce the range on these outlier smgs like shayuras, unending tempest and immortal by at least ~10-15 (cap the smg range at around 60 for now I'd say). And then they need to stop releasing smgs that roll with 100 range.... a shayuras should not challenge an autorifle or Handcannon outside of maybe 20ish meters. I would say they should make handling a more desireable stat on smgs, making the pinnacle ones feel snapier IMO.

That's probably more of an actual "other weapons can come up" situation, depending. People better not be in checkmate getting outgunned with special weapons by smgs.
