They were probably going to roll out another expansion that doesn’t expand the core playlists again.
100 bucks with one new strike, one PvP map and nothing for gambit is not an expansion.
Sad news yes, but by not whaling some changes are happening good or bad. 🤔

The contradiction about sales with the failure this argument points to should be taken seriously to better understand what happened. They didn’t take a loss because people didn’t buy the game. They took a loss because people retired it super early. That might not matter so much for a game like AC Valhalla…. But for a GAAS title like Destiny that’s really really bad. To paraphrase the old Soviet style joke— in GAAS, Destiny is not the product being sold, YOU are. Now— what that means for Final Shape? Different conversation. I’m going to see it through to the end of this saga, personally.
