I have never had an issue with Destiny 2 crashing, but today I suddenly cannot open the game. When I launch the game on steam, it takes about 10 seconds before the game launches, then it crashes almost immediately.
I have tried the following things to troubleshoot: validated installation on steam, uninstalled and reinstalled on steam, updated graphics driver on nvidia, uninstalled Razer Cortex, uninstalled NordVPN, disabled in-game overlay from Discord and Nvidia, deleted C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC, and rebooted my PC several times.
After reading through all this, it seems like it is a no-brainer that it is a hardware issue, but I play every game on max settings with no issues. I have Nvidia GeForce 3090ti and i9 12900k, and 64GB DDR5 RAM.
On a whim, I tried installing the game via Epic Games Launcher, and I was able to launch and play the game with absolutely no issues. I tried reinstalling on steam once again and it still crashes after about 3 seconds on the initial splash screen. Obviously my PC is capable of handling the game if it launches on Epic. I really need some suggestions, as I have all DLCs on Steam and I refuse to pay money on DLCs I already own on Epic. Thanks in advanced.
