Legendary Shard Removal is deprecating 10 years of work into nothing and hiding behind the excuse of "currency simplification"
For the past few years, Bungie has been whittling down currencies to create a centralized currency in game (hit and miss mind you), however, it is an initiative I can understand, and makes sense. During this process, these currencies (that we work for) have been getting ground down into the last remaining denominator- Legendary shards. That's totally cool with me, so long as I get to keep what I've earned, in one form, or another.
However, with this latest announcement, it's become apparent that we are now at the end of that process, a process they had planned all along, to all-together remove shards from the game, with no way to convert that "work" into something else. This, is a major issue. So, those countless play hours, which have been whittled down into Legendary Shards, also now, will count for nothing. You're going to bankrupt me, to make the playing field even (or something?) for new players and me, when it SHOULDN'T BE, I've been, and many people have been, playing this game for a decade, why would our bank accounts look the same???
What really IRKS me, is the "we need to simplify the economy, so we're going to remove these shards" stance Bungie has taken on this, BUT IN THE SAME TWID, HINTS AT, WHAT WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE, A NEW FORM OF CURRENCY ADDED TO THE GAME IN THE FORM OF STRANGE COINS.
THE ACTUAL AUDACITY.
There was a quote made by a rapper a long timer ago, and but I'll change it up now and say it here-
"Bungie doesn't care about Veteran people"
